It’s been a wonderful summer, thus far! You spent the entirety of your vacation at the shore, and the house you rented for your family couldn’t have been more perfect. From all appearances, the house and all its neighbors were professionally decorated, and you’ve come home with all kinds of ideas for your own home remodeling in the Bethesda, Maryland area.

Vacation is over, but you’re just as glad to be home, so you can get started on the renovations at your own house. First on the list is the bathroom. After having lived in the house since you were married, having watched your children grow up, get married, and move out, and now enjoying your grandchildren’s coming to visit, you’ve decided that the time has come—the bathroom needs to be redone, and you know just how you want it done.

This is a good time to contact D.R. Hartman Construction, Inc. for a free, no-obligation quote. They just may be perfectly suited to help you to your desired end. Working with the Design Build solution for general contractor work, they prefer to be involved throughout the entire project, from the planning stage, when you’re still thinking through the layout of the area, to the installment of the last fixture. With complete involvement, they can see the whole picture, as you do, and be better suited to help your Gaithersburg bathroom remodel go smoothly.

Maybe you saw a bathroom at the shore that was just exactly what you want, or maybe you had a crazy dream last night, in which you were cooking in the perfect kitchen for your new house. No matter what has been your inspiration, the folks at D.R. Hartman Construction, Inc. can help you think through your project. They can help you get to the right showrooms and point you in the right direction for the materials best suited to your remodel. As many options as there are out there, a guiding hand can be invaluable, to save all kinds of time and frustration, at the very least.

Just about every project turns up with some kind of twist that was nowhere in the plans. Remodels seem to have an extra handful of those twists. Maybe it’s because of the extra demolition involved in rearranging a roomful of fixtures and appliances, but opening hidden cavities reveals all kinds of “opportunities.” Sometimes those unexpected discoveries leave no other option but alterations in plans, but other times, they just slow everything down. Having a Potomac general contractor with over thirty years of experience and all the right tools can make the challenges less intimidating. Even the most experienced homeowner could be rather overwhelmed by the adventures of home renovation, but for a Bethesda renovation, help from D.R. Hartman Construction, Inc. can make the whole experience much more enjoyable.

For that shore-inspired bathroom, give D.R. Hartman a call to get that free quote. See if they can’t help you bring a bit of your vacation home, to enjoy throughout the year. While you’re renovating it anyway, you might as well get a bit of extra enjoyment out of the process!

Tick, tock, tick, tock. The clock hanging on the wall ticks on and on, same tempo, same sound, over and over. Inside the clock is a complex collection of gears and other parts that interlock and move in a way that precisely tells time. But what if you removed one of those gears? Even just a little tiny one? Probably, the clock would stop telling time correctly and might stop ticking all together. And that would be bad, wouldn’t it? You wouldn’t know what time it was, and you would be late for work in the morning, and…well, you get the picture. (Now you can put the gear back in the clock.)

Some manufacturing processes work much like a clock. Just as the parts of a clock interlock together to tell time, the steps of the manufacturing processes work together to make a product that’s exactly the right size and shape and durability necessary. And while some steps may be expendable, other steps might stop the process all together if they were removed. And probably skipping any step would compromise the quality of the product.

Let’s take an industry that manufactures engine parts that must fit together precisely and be made to the right size. The metal must be of the finest quality to withstand heat and pressure. Any defects could hurt the final product. The industry might test the product by putting it into a custom wire basket, then inserting the basket by crane into a tank filled with a chemical solution made to test the engine part’s quality.

Any manufacturer worth its salt will send its products through rigorous testing processes before assembling the ones that will be sold. Engine turbines must be able to withstand incredible heat when they will be moving at high speeds. So the parts should be exposed to burning hot temperatures, but they need to be placed in a container that will withstand this heat. Three M Tool can make custom baskets out of a variety of grades of stainless steel. The higher the grade, the higher the temperature the basket will be able to stand—even temperatures reaching over 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. Imagine how strong the metal must be to withstand these temperatures without melting or becoming disformed.

Certainly a manufacturer could skip over these steps and still release a product of decent quality. But not testing your product could lead to some serious flaws that could cause serious problems later on. What if a jet turbine malfunctioned mid-flight, causing a plane to spin out of control and crash to the ground? Manufacturing requires an orderly process, operating efficiently but allowing enough time to check the quality of products before they are sold to the public.

Rigorous testing is necessary to ensure that parts are made well enough. Using custom wire mesh baskets can help to hold parts securely and make the testing procedures easier. Just like a clock, ticking as each part works together, the steps of the manufacturing process work together to produce items that will sell.

Yes you read that correctly. Teach+Technology = Teachnology. It’s not a novel word. Been posted around the internet thousands of times by now I’m sure. But the word represents such a strong meaning to those dedicated teachers in the world in search of ways to enhance not so much teaching as learning! After all, the objective of all great teachers is to ensure their students become engaged in the process of learning, and stand tall on the shoulders of the educational system!

To date, there have been many tempting “one size fits all” technology-based solutions thrown at the ever-increasing issue of crowding classrooms and shrinking budgets. The problem with many of these gadgets isn’t so much that the technology doesn’t work as promised, but that it’s mostly addressing the symptom of a deeper rooted issue. Sure smart boards and laptops and virtual classrooms should be embraced in the world of education. Fact is, technologies such as these must be utilized in effort to resonate with the younger generations who’ve in essence been spoon fed the multi-media experience (radio, tv, internet, movies, gaming, chat, texting, etc) by the time they reach grade school. But educators realize quickly that technology alone can not teach our children how to become the giants we will need them to be in order to preserve the freedoms and powers of our nation. Additionally, educators are faced with the challenge to empower leaders of tomorrow and all the while finding fewer hours and the day and smaller dollar amounts in the budget.

Enter the flash drive. Not an answer to everything, but surely a tool that is rapidly taking root in classrooms across America thanks to its low cost and ability to mobilize, digitize and equalize access to education.

IT minds in schools across America are teaming up with teachers to present intelligent flash drive solutions aimed at decreasing the digital divide in the classroom, decreasing the per student cost of deploying information (textbooks, handouts, policy manuals) and enhancing the overall student experience.

With the youth already looking to flash drives to store and share pictures, music, videos and about any digital content they create, the marriage of flash drives with educational objectives makes “cents”. In fact, some schools are using school branded flash drives as a proven fund raiser. They preload the flash drives with school calendars, classroom resource information and even Postsecondary-based materials (scholarship info, grants, campus reviews, etc) and then offer them for sale to students and parents. To date, the approach has helped raise money needed for additional technologies like computer labs.

Cari Wagner, Solutions Director for CFgear.com, says, “A lot of the demand we’re experiencing is born from the teacher. It’s the teachers that take note of student trends. And what they’re seeing is more and more students passing around flash drives like the older generation passed around notes!” To date, CFgear.com has helped deliver flash drive solutions to K-12 schools and college campuses across the United States.

Because flash drives are offer rewritable functionality, teachers can assign homework on school-issued drives and students can then work on the assignment “digitally,” later handing in the flash drive for the teacher to check. This reduces the time spent deciphering illegible work as well as offers the student and teacher an organized flow of information.

If you’ve ever moved to a different house, you know moving is full of stress, enough to make you wonder why you ever decided to leave your comfortable old home. You have to sort through everything from clothes to bedding, from kitchen utensils to garden tools, from trinkets to those weird glass animals you aren’t quite sure why you kept. When you decide what you do need to keep, you must put everything into boxes to carry it to your new house. And that’s just the small stuff—you spend half an hour lugging the heavy, bulky, wood-framed couch out to the moving van, angling it just right to fit through narrow doorways and up a precarious stairway from the basement. Your experience may not have been exactly like this, but surely you can relate to the hassle of moving everything out of a house you’ve settled down in for years to a new home.

Moving out involves more than enough work, but then you get to move all your sofas and easy chairs and tables and beds and boxes of everything from encyclopedias to porcelain plates (breakable—be careful!) into your new house. And then you have to unpack all your possessions, find the shelves and drawers where you want to keep them, organize them, and arrange your furniture. You spend hours and hours, days and days, weeks and weeks, getting your new house arranged so you are comfortable living there.

With all the hassle of moving out of your old house and moving into your new home, you want your house to be looking nice and ready for you to move everything into. You want to be able to set up your dining room set of table and chairs without stepping on rotting floorboards that sag and creak every time you walk on them. You would like to bring your sofa and living room furniture into a room that doesn’t have mildew on its walls and gaps in the ceiling. To sum up, if you’re moving into a fixer-upper house, it’s nice to see it fixed up before you move in.

You could do the work yourself, but fixing up a house requires much time that you may not be able to afford in this fast-paced culture. If you work a full-time job and have a family with kids, you don’t want to be spending every spare moment fixing one more hole in the wall and replacing one more rotting board in the floor.

Consider hiring a contractor to remodel the house you are moving into. If you live in or near Rockville, Maryland, you could contact D. R. Hartman Construction for a free estimate. This general contractor in Rockville, experienced in both building and remodeling homes, will do whatever you need to fix your house up to make it look new again. Many satisfied customers praise Hartman Construction for the excellent jobs they have done. So if you need a kitchen remodeled in Bethesda, MD or even a bathroom redone, don’t hesitate to contact Hartman–and be sure to let him know that I sent you

Ever got lost in one of those humongous walk-in hardware stores trying to find a small gadget that you really need? Yes, if you’re a mom like me you probably have. Let me share my shopping secrets with you. I found this really good online site that offer great deals and their products actually work! (I too know about online order horror stories). Try and visit The Home Automation Store and you’ll be surprised that they have that small essential gadget you’ve always been looking for, and at a discounted price too!

Let me share with you some of the great products that I found through The Home Automation Store. I have a two-year-old daughter who likes to get into mischief like any regular toddler. I often leave her with a babysitter and I sometimes fear that she might be a bit too much to handle for the sitter. I wanted to be sure that the babysitter doesn’t get any funny ideas about childcare, if you know what I mean. I found this really wonderful teddy bear that has a built in camera in one of its eye, it’s the SVAT Color 2.4 GHz Wireless CMOS Camera in a Teddy Bear (UC1301) from The Home Automation Store. It looks just like any regular stuffed toy that you find in a kid’s nursery so you can just put it up on one of your kid’s shelf and it will look right at home. Its completely wireless and a built-in transmitter send video to a receiver, which can be connected to a DVR, VCR or computer for recording. Buy that baby monitor and you’ll be guaranteed to feel more secure & and in control.

Another great product I found through The Home Automation Store is the SVAT Black & White 6” CRT Automobile Rear View Monitoring System (AV). It’s a camera you install on the rear part of your vehicle so you can see those areas that are usually hidden from your view. I found this product to be very useful when parking facing away from the wall. It’s also great in checking out people who are behind your vehicle, I have heard scary stories of people being jumped up from behind and carjacked; this is a sure fire way to make sure no one is lurking in the rear of your car. When I take my kids to school the area is usually filled with small kids loitering about so I normally get out of the car, check no one’s there before I back up to avoid accidents. After installing this system, you don’t have to worry again. Simply check the monitor and take off! It’s really perfect, a lot of help when parking, maneuvering into tight spots or even hooking up your trailer (no more miscalculations!). I really love this product!

Now two are just the ones that I feel are the best products that I have seen on the site so far, but I am still checking out a lot of products that I would love to purchase soon. So if you want to make shopping easier, get products that are reliable, I highly recommend The Home Automation Store for all your X10 home automation needs!

We have a saying around CFgear. It’s simple. Perhaps even disgustingly cliché. But it’s true and very real to what we know makes us the company we are. The saying – “Anything is possible.” The reason we have it – to remind us to keep our minds open to the genius “what if” questions clients inevitably pose each day. In fact, we humbly and gratefully admit that many of our most successful solutions we offer in the market today were born from a client wanting their custom flash drive project to achieve a certain object; an objective that at the time, we were candid in saying couldn’t be met with the existing CFgear.com solutions. However, with a powerful network of industry pioneers, CFgear always finds a way to transform a mere “anything is possible” statement into actual working solutions.

Of course, customized solutions for high quantity flash drive projects come with a price. That’s inevitable. In the case where the end product solves the once unsolvable project objective, however, CFgear.com likes to replace the word price with “investment”. In the end, as hundreds of custom bulk flash drive clients agree, the reason “investment” make sense is because price focuses too much on black and white issues whereas an investment incorporates more powerful measurements like being able to achieve project objectives with precision.

It’s clear that CFgear.com is not like some of the industry comfortable with providing a logo on a piece of hardware. We can do that too. But if you told us we could only exist in one area, simple or “solution”, our answer would be “solution” 9 times out of 10. The 1 out of 10 is because sometimes the planets are aligned and all a client needs is “simple” – a mere logo on a fundamentally functioning usb flash drive. For all the other clients looking to leverage custom bulk flash drives to achieve sophisticated communication objectives, CFgear.com is able to smoothly collaborate with folks from any range of awareness with our industry. We always keep in mind, in fact, that to some, to a lot actually, custom flash drive projects are a brand new experience. And with such an experience comes a learning curve that’s unique to each client.

The trick to being so successful in a highly competitive industry is really not a trick in fact. All we do is focus on first understanding the client’s needs exactly. If that is not built into the process of a business partnership, we’re confident the end product will result in the end of any chance a customer will be coming back for more customized flash drives in bulk. That’s because expectations must be understood and clearly addressed prior to ever taking any steps to building custom bulk flash drives. Anything is possible is just the beginning. Anything is possible with industry professionals who are passionate about quality and effectiveness of the end product/solution is the key to a long-term, win-win custom flash drive campaign!

When my family moved to Colorado, many of the East Coast family were delighted—suddenly, they had a place to stay out West, making vacation to that area more feasible.

Soooo, for a while, we had a steady stream of company, and we were thrilled to have a good excuse to go sightseeing in the area, getting to know our new surroundings all the better. Some wanted to skiing, others wanted to go white-water rafting, and others were more interested in exploring the ghost towns and getting pictures of the scenery. Then, there was the aunt and uncle who were on the look out for antiques.

That family took home a souvenir much larger than any of the others. They towed home a brand new trailer with a really old car—a 1929 Buick. The car had belonged to a doctor, so it had all the bells and whistles, and it had been kept under cover in a climate that was more likely to have problems with dry rot than with mildew or mold, so it was in excellent condition.

As the car headed home to my aunt and uncle’s free-standing garage, all of us girls dreamed of the day we would ride in the ’29 Buick to our weddings. As it turned out, only two of the three of us saw that dream come to fruition. I, the third, rode to my wedding in a 2003 Envoy. After the first of my two girl cousins had been married, escorted by her dad, in the teal and black classic, her two brothers headed to college at the same time, and their mom and dad suddenly needed a greater store of funds than they had. So, they decided to sell the antique car.

My folks hated to see the car leave the family, especially since we had left Colorado, in the interim, and treasured all the memories attached to our stay there. So, when my second girl cousin got married, her dad borrowed the car to take her to her wedding.

Not long after that, my parents ran into some tight financial times and ended up having to liquidate all possible assets. Although we had hoped to keep it long enough for my last ride as their single daughter, that date was nowhere in sight, so the car had to go.

In a sense, it was just as well, for the sake of the car, that we did have to pass it along. Our family didn’t have a climate-controlled storage area for the car, and on the East Coast, that can be fatal to any vehicle, especially to one built and fitted out before the invention of rot- and mildew-resistant material. I suppose we could have gone the route of building an addition, to create a safe place for the car, but finances were never quite abundant enough to seriously consider that option.

Just having a classic car and, every now and then, taking it for a cruise, was great fun. We just hope that whoever has it now gets more use and enjoyment from it than we did. Seems a shame to have such a treasure go to waste, sitting under cover and out of sight.

I remember one day in elementary school, when we were studying our community, our teacher arranged for us to visit the hospital. We weren’t going to go visit patients or anything like that; we were going to get to see how the hospital functions. For example, how does the hospital feed all of its many patients, how does it keep everything as clean as hospitals (well most hospitals!) keep things, and who did all of these “behind the scenes” jobs.

Of course the bus ride over there was fun! We were released from the school building to do something different, in a different place, but still with all of our friends. We were all in great spirits! Once we went into the hospital, we were met by a very nice and knowledgeable volunteer. First she took us to the hospital’s laundry room. They had wire baskets where they sorted the different types of laundry. They had mounds of sheets, gowns, towels and scrubs. Then they showed us how they got everything clean. They had this big circular wire basket they used for a Hoist Fed Fabric Processing System. It was pretty amazing to see how that system worked to wash and rinse the clothes.

After the laundry we went on to the area where they cleaned all of the surgical instruments. These delicate instruments required a gentle yet thorough cleaning and sterilizing. The volunteer showed us the special machines they used for this. All of the instruments were placed in special, customized wire baskets. There were wire baskets of all different shapes and sizes. They used mostly stainless steel wire baskets but for really delicate parts they used a custom wire basket with a special coating for extra protection. Then the instruments were put through an ultrasonic cleaning cycle.

Our last stop was the food service area. The men and women who worked down here kept everyone fed. From the doctors and nurses to the patients and their visitors, everyone relied on the food service workers. When we went down to the kitchen we saw mass quantities of food being cooked. Then they would portion out the trays and load them all onto Chrome Plated Drawers for the Food Service Carts. After everyone was fed, all the thousands of dishes needed to be done.

Cleaning dishes was a 24/7 activity just like cooking food was. All the dishes were placed into industrial wire baskets and pushed through a miniature car wash type of a machine to help wash them off. Then they went into special stainless steel wire baskets and were placed in extremely hot water. After this they were dried with really hot air, and then they were clean, sterile and ready to go again!

I remember this ended up being a really inspiring fieldtrip. It was exciting to see all the people working so hard together to make everything run smoothly and to help all the patients feel better. This may sound silly, but it was probably one of the best fieldtrips I went on as a kid!

The Crazy Pregnancy Marketing Group (CPMG) recently announced its launch of numerous pregnancy informational sites. From its branded pregnancy marketing website all the way to its pregnant indeed site, the Crazy Pregnancy Marketing Group is determined to provide quality pregnancy information to women on the web.

In our interview with one of the developers for the Crazy Pregnancy informational network, we were told that they have a long term plan for the development of some massive informational websites but that they currently are not able to discloses additional details due to executive orders. We’re excited (and curious) to see what they are up to and will be watching closely.

Some additional Crazy Pregnancy sites include really pregnant and the online pregnancy test. We planned to run a full evaluation of the sites, but the CPMG staff informed us that the sites were still under beta testing and weren’t fully operational. Apparently they have begun having writers develop & post some pregnancy related content but are holding off on cranking out everything until they are certain everything is working perfectly fine.

From considering the topics of pregnancy tests online to dealing with their theme flagship, Crazy Pregnancy Marketing Group is dedicated to providing a helpful informational network of pregnancy resources to teen girls and women on the web.
